Recently, BNP Paribas and IBM Services jointly announced that they are expanding their partnership for eight years to address these market changes. This partnership further extends the creation of BNP Paribas Partners for Innovation (BP2I), a joint venture between BNP Paribas and IBM since 2003, by both companies. This contract will allow BNP Paribas to continue to use its IBM service cloud approach. As well known, IBM is a leading company of cloud platforms and cognitive solutions.
BNP Paribas, which produced its first private cloud in 2013, is now going to integrate the IBM cloud hosted in the bank's data centers. BNP Paribas will also enhance its service, hybrid cloud capabilities by utilizing IBM solutions offered through its public cloud to help the development of new services. This agreement will also allow BNP Paribas to use IBM Hybrid Cloud solutions to increase its services by using multiple environments, such as dedicated, public and private clouds, to ensure the integration of these different environments. It will help the bank to improve integration and optimize the management of workloads between these different cloud infrastructure services.
