Dispense, one of the leading pharmacy management software for dispensaries, and Aeropay, the leading digital payments provider for the cannabis industry, have unveiled a partnership that enables compliant and fully integrated payments via Aeropay to be received by dispensaries. As part of the partnership, Aeropay's compliant digital payment solutions integrate with Dispense's dispensary eCommerce software. Dispense allows retailers to accept cashless payments at the checkout, resulting in a 25 percent increase in sales. Currently serving dispensaries in California, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Maine, New Jersey, Florida, and Massachusetts, Dispense is expanding in Oklahoma and Colorado next year.
The customizable software allows dispensaries to sell online and scale their business. Easy-to-use software lets dispensaries create custom eCommerce menus that are optimized for search engines. The right technology facilitates the automation of operations, the growth of revenue, and the building of loyalty among customers, and all businesses own their data.
"Dispense is an innovative cannabis eCommerce platform working with retailers across the country, and this newest integration offers businesses simple dispensary management software and SEO tools that will substantially improve ROI," said Daniel Muller, CEO and Founder of Aeropay. "It's exciting to announce this partnership which will facilitate better cashless payment options for consumers and businesses. Aeropay is a proven integration partner providing digital solutions for the industry's premier eCommerce platforms."
Most banks avoid doing business with cannabis companies because cannabis remains illegal at the federal level. Dispensaries cannot process traditional card payments while cannabis remains illegal at the federal level. Most transactions are conducted in cash, but 51 percent of customers prefer contactless, secure payments.
