Developers can integrate Lightning payments into their applications through River Lightning Services (RLS), provided by River Lightning.
FREMONT, CA: "We're incredibly proud to be serving the people of El Salvador and look forward to bringing the power of this incredible technology to the world," says River CEO Alex Leishman. "Our mission at River will continue to be providing the tools necessary for people to plug into the Bitcoin Network and propel adoption."
One of the leading Bitcoin technology companies, River offers a full range of Bitcoin products and services, including Bitcoin brokerage accounts and full-service Bitcoin mining. River unveiled that it will introduce River Lightning Services (RLS), an API for the Lightning Network that aims to power the next generation of Internet payments. El Salvador's Chivo wallet uses the RLS Lightning network to run Lightning transactions, and the company is currently working on onboarding many other well-known customers as well.
River Financial offers financial services and Bitcoin-based technology as a part of its business model. River serves various clients, including individuals, businesses, family offices, and investment funds, a pioneer in the Bitcoin sector.
"River strongly believes that Lightning will drive the innovation and adoption of Bitcoin due to its fast-moving protocol, multi-asset and stablecoin capabilities via Taro, and instant and cheap transactions," says Leishman. "We're excited to work with forward-thinking customers, exchanges, and wallets to make it easy to offer Lightning payments."
A key feature of the Lightning Network is that it enables instant, cheap, and scalable off-chain Bitcoin payments without sacrificing the decentralization of the Bitcoin network. Companies and developers can integrate Lightning payments directly into their applications with the help of River Lightning Services without having to manage or maintain Lightning infrastructure themselves.
